This cartoon celebrates those who protect and care for the LGBTQ community. The allies who don't let any harm come to their queer friends.
My single friend asked me, “What’s the difference between me and a calendar?” I asked, “What?” He said, “A calendar has dates.”

I’ve told this story before, but I feel inspired to share it again. One time, when I left the ministry, I talked with one of my mentors, looking for guidance and advice. He asked me, “Well, David, what do you want?” Guess what. I couldn’t answer him. I didn’t know what I wanted. I was never allowed to know what I wanted. I was only allowed to figure out what the Lord wanted, and do that. Want that. So I was totally out of touch with my own self, my own desires, and my own life. I had no idea what I wanted. I had to go through a few stages: I had to feel okay giving myself permission to even try to figure out what I wanted. Then I had to actually know what I wanted. Then I had to go for it! I had to overcome guilt and move ahead with a brazen disregard for my religious sensibilities and a courageous respect of my own desires. It took a long time, but I know what I want. And I’m totally okay with it. And I’m happy. Do you know what I’m talking about?

I live in Canada. Near the ocean. Beautiful! It's so expansive. Like true love.
Thanks for reading my newsletter (again!). I've been thinking that maybe we should start including a giveaway in some of these. Just to show my gratitude to you. What do you think? What would you want to win? Let me know. Much love my friend, David
