The West Baton Rouge native was voted into the final 10 on “American Idol” this week, and residents along the west bank of the Mississippi River have taken notice. “His charm, his personality, his well-mannered politeness, it’s contagious," said Christy Fabre, who taught Foster in middle school typing class. "And I hope he inspires more kids to be the Southern gentleman that he is.” Foster advanced Monday night after performing “I Told You So,” made famous by country music legend Randy Travis.
