After endless pleas from my sons, Mark (age seven) and Luke (age six), we decided to stop in. We had been talking about getting a dog for a while. I didn't know it at the time but adopting a homeless dog would really make me feel better. I was struggling with homesickness and a little bit of depression. We'd moved from Ohio to Kentucky because of my husband's career, and I was having trouble adjusting.
