It's Wednesday, August 30, and today's headlines include research on churchgoers and abortion, a guilty verdict for pro-life activists in Washington, D.C., and a former UMC congregation that is facing the loss of its building. | New research from the Family Research Council's Center for Biblical Worldview shows that one out of every six churchgoers in the U.S. has had, paid for or encouraged an abortion. The findings showed that 65% of respondents agree that the Bible identifies when human life begins, while 21% disagree, and 14% do not know.
