Explore London Transport Museum's glorious new poster gallery London's public transport networks have long been renowned for commissioning great works of commercial art and design, and now one of the capital's finest museums has launched a brand new gallery, sponsored by the media and entertainment group Global, which will show a whole load of them off. The Global Poster Gallery in Covent Garden is London Transport Museum's first permanent space dedicated to the history of the poster. It draws from a phenomenal, 30,000-strong archive â one of the largest collections of 20th century graphic art and design in the world â which is cared for at the museum's Acton Depot. Exhibitions at the Global Poster Gallery will also feature loans from other leading collections to explore how the medium has shaped mass communication from the early 1900s to the present day. Entry to the Global Poster Gallery and its first exhibition, How To Make A Poster, is included with your museum admission, which costs ÂŁ24 for adults and is free for anyone under the age of 18!
