| As a kid in the 1970’s, one of my heroes was Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon in 1969. But before he was an astronaut, he was a test pilot for NASA’s X-15 program. I always admired those test pilots, because they got to fly the world’s fastest manned aircraft. And this kit honors those true pioneers of space, which is a big reason I count it as one of my favorites. But it’s not just me. Here’s what Dale N. had to say after ordering this kit earlier this year: “Beautiful kit! Vacuformed parts are not always the friendliest to new(ish) builders, but Apogee has made the process so easy with their printed instructions and videos, not to mention the quality of the kit parts themselves, that anyone with even limited experience can turn out a rocket to be proud of.
