As a kid in the 1970’s, one of my heroes was Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the moon in 1969.
But before he was an astronaut, he was a test pilot for NASA’s X-15 program.
I always admired those test pilots, because they got to fly the world’s fastest manned aircraft. And this kit honors those true pioneers of space, which is a big reason I count it as one of my favorites.
