He made the announcement in a press conference Sunday with State Police, the FBI and other local and state law enforcement agencies after the escape of 10 inmates from the New Orleans jail. Three of the inmates have been captured but seven others were still on the lam Sunday evening. Landry will be issuing several executive orders aimed at probing the jailbreak and speeding up criminal cases and sentencing in New Orleans and across the state. |
