John Foster places second in 'American Idol' grand finale

Aww, so close! Louisiana's John Foster, the Addis teen and LSU freshman, finished second Sunday night in "American Idol" grand finale.

Grabbing the "Idol" title was Jamal Roberts, 27, of Meridian, Mississippi, an elementary school P.E. teacher.

Former President Joe Biden diagnosed with prostate cancer. His office said Sunday the cancer cells have spread to the bone.

“While this represents a more aggressive form of the disease, the cancer appears to be hormone-sensitive which allows for effective management," his office said.

Gov. Jeff Landry calls for jailbreak audit. He made the announcement in a press conference Sunday with State Police, the FBI and other local and state law enforcement agencies after the escape of 10 inmates from the New Orleans jail. Three of the inmates have been captured but seven others were still on the lam Sunday evening.

Landry will be issuing several executive orders aimed at probing the jailbreak and speeding up criminal cases and sentencing in New Orleans and across the state.
