Hi everyone, Thanks for subscribing to Gimundo, whether you’ve been a member for years or just signed up recently! We know it’s been crickets around here lately, and we apologize for that. We’re writing to let you know of an important shift in direction for the site. While we’ve loved filling you in on the positive news stories from around the web, in the 10 years since the site’s founding, there’s been a huge rise in the availability of “good news” focused content, with many major publications dedicating a section of their site to such content -- and that’s a fantastic development. They have the resources to curate and explore these stories, which, as a husband-and-wife team doing this in our free time, we simply can’t compete with. To that end, we are shifting Gimundo’s focus to an area that we are passionate about, and where we believe we can provide value to both our existing audience and new readers: personal finance for the rest of us. We’ll maintain Gimundo’s helpful, positive nature, but re-establish it as a site for great advice, profiles, and stories about how to build a better financial foundation, reduce debt and unnecessary spending, build a self-sufficient lifestyle, and retire well (and early, if that’s your goal). Kathryn Hawkins, our co-owner, has extensive experience as a writer and editor for business and finance publications, and our agency has a great network of talented writers and experts eager to explore this subject and build helpful solutions for our readers. We’re not catering to the 1% here. We know many people are struggling with student loan debt, health care expenses, sandwich generation challenges, and other personal and financial challenges. We’ll provide tips and articles for people at every stage of life and various levels of wealth (and debt) accumulation, and we’ll showcase success stories in developing financial independence through entrepreneurship and smart habits. Soon, we’ll share a sneak peek link to a few of our new articles on a beta version of the site, as well as a resource page spotlighting some of the many great sources of uplifting stories online, so you can find your new favorite home for good news. In the meantime, please let us know what you’d like to see on the new Gimundo. We look forward to continuing this journey with you! Kathryn and Jeff Hawkins Owners, Gimundo.com |
