This is a hand-drawn card with some string and sticker embellishments. I've recently taken up drumming, so this is one of my favourite cards. It's pretty easy to make, just follow along!

Pistachio Shell Birds Painting
By attosa
I like to save the shells from my pistachio nuts to craft with. Here, I've turned them into birds on a tree I painted. Sometimes bare winter trees are nice in the way that you can see all the animals that perch on the branches without leaves getting in the way. This painting is dedicated to my father who loves to birdwatch and absolutely adores pistachios!

Making a Hanging Air Plant Frame
By 15mhhm15
This is a cute air-plant hanging frame your toddler/child can make. This would make a cute gift from toddler/child to give to someone special too (like grandparents, dad, mom, aunt, uncle, etc.).

My 2 year old toddler decorated this heart card - it is the perfect craft that makes two gifts, one for grandma, one for grandpa! This could be for any occasion not just Valentine's Day, give it for Grandparents Day, Christmas, Missing You, or just because! What's special about this card is when you put both pieces together you could see how the artwork turned out!

Recycling pop or water bottles into funny faces. The creations can then be used as decor or piggy banks. Making a family of Bottheads is great fun for the kids.

I bought plain, plastic tissue holder covers at the Euro shop and decoupaged them using paper and also fabric. I think they turned out quite nicely.

Recycled Animal Face Pencil Case
By katrine2706
Simple materials plus a creative mind is a great combination for making this project. A plastic bottle has the most use when it comes to recycling. You can create anything useful out of plastic bottles. Here's one simple project that I taught my child which can be a good help to develop his creativity, imagination, and organizing skills.

"I Like You Elote" Multi-occasion Greeting Card
By attosa
Elote is Mexican street corn that is absolutely scrumptious! It's skewered, grilled, then topped with a creamy sauce, chili powder, cheese, and cilantro. I made a bunch of these corn cards to give to my friends who are huge Elote fanatics, and they were a hit! These are easy to make, using just paper, glitter, and cord. Give them out for Valentine's Day, Cinco de Mayo, or just because!

Flamingo Heart Card or Kids' Craft
By 15mhhm15
This is a cute flamingo heart card you can give to someone for Valentine's Day, or glue down onto a card. It would be cute if they were facing each other too. But the purpose of this craft was because we went to the zoo, the kids thought how cool a flamingo was and wanted to make one! They both had fun playing with these together and making these flamingos kiss!

A quick gift for that special teacher, aunt, or grandmother. You will need to make three fabric flowers; each uses two pieces of fabric and one piece of wire.

This topiary makes a nice wedding or housewarming gift without spending a fortune. It's a great way to use those decorative containers that are taking up cabinet space too. I used a sugar bowl that was missing it's lid.

I love making people little things and then giving them gift baskets. One of the things I make are magnets. Magnets can be made from all kinds of thing. The ones I am submitting are the small photos on the backs of calendars.

I have a lot of fabric and a lot of scraps leftover from my projects so I decided to make some potholders from the scraps. I have not been able to master the binding that goes around the edge so I tried something different.

I made a pin with teabag folding (package) and a button. You only have to fold your teabag's envelopes to make the medallion and then put some water resistant varnish and use a nice button to decorate.

If you find a big stain on the front of your infants onesie or child's t-shirt, or would rather not be advertising some company name splashed across the front, cover it up with a hand-made patch!

This Week's QuestionsChanging the Sensor on a Singer Futura Embroidery MachineI need to change the sensor on my Singer Futura embroidery unit that holds my hoops. Can I take the whole bar off or do just the sensors come off?Using Acrylic Interior Paint for Art Pouring ProjectsI'm a budding artist alla grande. I'm looking to 'acrylic pouring', but I want to know if acrylic indoor paint can be used successfully on art projects such as pouring projects. I'm appalled at the prices of just a little paint for pourings in art stores. If the paint is the same in either art store or paint stores - I'm a winner!Making a Plate StandReverse Not Working on Singer Merritt 2404When I push in the reverse, the feed dog seems to change, but the stitches look like they are set on zero to 1 and barely move. Everything works going forward. I have oiled and cleaned everything. When the reverse is being held in, you can watch the gear shaft underneath, and it obviously is not moving as far as it does going forward.Looking for Simplicity Pattern #1442I am looking for Simplicity 1442 pattern. It's a rag quilt, fire truck. It also has a hedgehog and peacock. It can be used or downloadable. I have found them on eBay, but have a hard time paying $60-75 for a pattern.ThriftyFun Contests! This newsletter is powered by you! Below are the active contests on ThriftyFun...
