By Drew Broach | Deputy metro editor 'HERO INSTEAD OF ZERO': Five men accused Jack Strain of sexually molesting them when they were boys, years before he became St. Tammany Parish's sheriff. With Strain now guilty of all charges, the one with the most emotional testimony spoke out Tuesday, saying he was giddy with joy. The newly convicted Strain, meanwhile, has been moved to the Plaquemines Parish Detention Center in Davant, to enhance his own safety and to avoid allegations of special treatment at the Covington jail he once ran, authorities said.
