First Steps grant extends childcare access in Spartanburg

South Carolina’s First Steps program has awarded grants totaling $900,000 to convert public facilities into pre-school learning centers to Spartanburg’s Highland Community Partnership and the town of Kershaw Partnership. More than $14.5M in infrastructure grants awarded

More than $14.5 million in grants have been awarded to 34 S.C. projects focusing on water, sewer and stormwater infrastructure by the S.C. Rural Infrastructure Authority. Awards include $360,000 to the city of Greenville and $500,000 to Fountain Inn for sewer system improvements.
