A Message From the Editor Hey there everybody. Hope you’ve been enjoying these Editor’s Picks newsletters, but unfortunately, this is going to be the last one for a minute. Because Friday will my final day at ALM. Yes, after six years as editor-in-chief of Legaltech News, and nine years combined at ALM publications, I’m moving on to a new position as of next week. It feels weird to be writing this honestly, given that this organization and this role specifically has been such a large portion of my professional career. But I couldn’t be more thankful for everything I’ve learned, and everyone I’ve worked with and talked to, over my time here. I feel like I’m leaving LTN in a good place, blessed with a good mix of breaking news and hard-hitting analysis that our readers have come to expect. Moving forward, I have the utmost confidence that Rhys, Isha, Cassandre, and whoever joins the team will continue providing what readers want—and need—to hear. I know I’ll be reading. Honestly, all I’ve ever wanted to do with my career is learn. And this couldn’t have been a better place to do just that, conversing daily with people just like me that are eager to try something new and advance the law forward. I stepped into LTN never hearing the terms “e-discovery” or “legal operations” once in my life, but I’m stepping out of it with a whole breadth of knowledge and experiences that I couldn’t be more excited to build upon moving forward. You’ll still be seeing me around legal technology in a different capacity, so don’t be afraid to come up and say hi. And no matter where the future takes me, my experience here has given me the confidence to know that I’ll be continuing to learn, with so many wonderful teachers at my side. Thank you all for being wonderful readers, contributors, collaborators and friends over these years. – Zach Warren, editor-in-chief, Legaltech News |
