We need your input on the upcoming 2022 NMAF awards presentations for the National Magazine Awards.

In June, we are planning to present the awards virtually again. To help us continue to host celebrations that bring our communities together, we’d like to know what you’ve enjoyed in our past virtual awards presentations, and what you haven’t.

We've all missed the social aspects of the National Magazine Awards gala and we're exploring the option of hosting an in-person networking event this year in September. To this end, we also need your input.

Update on the NMAF BIPOC Mentorship Program

The NMAF was very pleased to launch its first mentorship program this year, which paired early- and mid-career BIPOC publishing professionals across Canada with senior industry leaders for one-on-one career and leadership skills development. Thanks to support from Ontario Creates and the Department of Canadian Heritage, we were able to provide 13 mentees with a mentorship in 2022! Thank you to our funders, our participating mentors, and the many people who applied for the program for your support of this initiative. We’re hopeful that we’ll be able to continue and expand the mentorship program next year.
