Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year with family and friends.

The stock market wasn't nearly as excited, and it kicked 2019 off with more volatility on Wednesday and Thursday. There were a few factors that spooked the market - Treasury yields, ETFs, China's slowing GDP growth and Apple's weak fourth-quarter sales forecast.

There are a couple important things to keep in mind here, though, and we'll talk all about them in today's Weekly Update. We'll also take a look at the healthy action I'm seeing beneath the surface. I'll explain what this means for our Growth Investor Buy Lists, and how we're already well-positioned regardless of where the market turns next.
