MIGIZI youth center reopens after burning in Floyd unrest
Around 500 people gathered Thursday to celebrate the grand opening of MIGIZI, a Native American youth center based in south Minneapolis that burned down during the unrest around the police murder of George Floyd in 2020.

💰 Billion-dollar dreams fuel surge in Powerball ticket sales
A giant jackpot is fueling sales of lottery tickets in Minnesota and elsewhere ahead of Saturday’s drawing. The head of the Minnesota Lottery said tickets are going at a rate of five every second as people vie for the chance at a $1.4 billion estimated prize. Sales are up 40 percent between Thursday and today.
Adrian Heath out as Minnesota United FC coach
The only coach the soccer team has had as a Major League Soccer franchise is out as the team struggles late in its season. The team has fired him and installed assistant coach Sean McAuley as interim leader of the Loons for the final two games. Despite having a talented roster, the team hasn't won the last seven games and is on course to miss the playoffs.
🚗 Getting a $7,500 tax credit for an electric car will soon get a lot easier
Starting in January, EV car shoppers won’t have to wait until tax season to pocket the incentive, worth up to $7,500. Instead, the credit will be available as cash in hand on the day of purchase — and it’ll be available regardless of the size of a customer's tax bill.
