At the beginning of the year China passed a ban on ivory. This was a major victory for elephant conservation and wildlife!
Following the ban, WWF-China has spoken out about the new law and what this means for elephants and the rangers who protect them. Ivory is a common gift given during Chinese New Year, but during the festive celebrations this year, it is important to give life, not ivory.
