| Good morning, Wednesday looks like the mildest day this week. Expect more bright sunshine. Temperatures will likely nudge a few degrees warmer than Tuesday. Highs will push well into the 30s again, and some locations will likely approach 40 degrees Wednesday afternoon. Thatâs because the CDC says Black Americans ages 35 to 54 are two times more likely to die from heart disease than white adults. | | Slow but 'fruitful' negotiations continue in state consent decree of MPD | Officials with the city of Minneapolis say theyâre making progress in negotiations with the state that could lead to a consent decree governing the Minneapolis Police Departmentâs policies and practices. A report last April by the Minnesota Department of Human Rights found that Minneapolis police had engaged in discrimination by race, and that there was little accountability for officer misconduct. It was the product of a state investigation started just days after George Floydâs killing in May 2020. | |
