| | Two people killed, several injured as man drives car into outdoor restaurant patio | Two people were killed and several people were injured when a man drove a vehicle into the patio at Park Tavern in St. Louis Park on Sunday night. St. Louis Park Police say they were called to Park Tavern just after 8 p.m. They found surveillance footage, showing someone driving into the Park Tavern parking lot, attempting to park and then driving into the outdoor patio. | |

| | Walz unharmed after some of the vehicles near the back of his motorcade crash in Milwaukee | Several cars at the back of a motorcade carrying Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz crashed while heading from the airport to a campaign stop in Milwaukee on Monday, but Walz was unhurt. The crash occurred after Walz and his wife, Gwen, were greeted at the airport by Democratic Rep. Gwen Moore of Wisconsin. The trio embraced, chatted and posed for a photo before the motorcade began heading to the event. | |

A measles outbreak that began in May in Minnesota has spread to 30 people, primarily infecting children in the Somali community. One dugsi, or Islamic religious school, has voluntarily closed in order to curtail the spread. 🎡 Minnesota State Fair sets another daily attendance record over the weekend. The fair set its fifth daily attendance record of the year Sunday, bringing 256,015 people through the gates. That number is about 11,000 more than the previous record for the last Sunday of the fair, which was set in 2019. 🏉 Minneapolis native Chuck Aoki, Team USA win wheelchair rugby silver medal. Minneapolis native Chuck Aoki and the Team USA wheelchair rugby team won a silver medal Monday after losing the gold medal match in Paris to Japan 48-41. 🥈 Minnesotan Skylar Dahl wins silver medal in rowing at Paris Paralympics. Sklyar Dahl, 21, of Minneapolis and her Team USA teammates in the mixed rowing competition finished just behind a team from Great Britain on Sunday. ⚾ Minnesota Twins beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-4. The Twins earned a second straight victory for the first time since they won three in a row from Aug. 15-17.
