Good afternoon from your Lancashire Post team, all still working from our homes across the county, as I'm sure many of you are too.

Today we bring the story of a young couple who claim they have been driven out of their home - by a protected mighty oak tree towering over them.

And as more and more of us take to our feet and bikes, enjoying Lancashire's beauty spots, police have announced a crackdown on rogue motorcyclists using the Guild Wheel.

Reporter Jack Marshall has been talking to landlady Sue Carr at the Old Vic in Preston who has  revealed it took (and this is upsetting!)  two days to pour all the beer down the drain when lockdown was imposed.

Meanwhile, although it is clear our rural communities have played  a critical role during the coronavirus crisis yet have been targeted by criminals to the tune of £2m - including a spike in sheep rustling at the height of the pandemic.

Plus, in court, one criminal gang have been jailed for nearly 80 years between them, after they admitted their crimes in a rap video - including using children as drug runners.

And in a special appeal today we ask - could you provide a happy foster home for four young siblings?

Don't forget you can follow all the latest breaking news today via our live blog, including the ever-changing coronavirus situation.

Have a great Thursday,
