Oh, it feels good to be back at our favourite store. Only this time, we’re back with a new Exclusive Artist Edition that we have been working on for a couple of months. Our collaboration with Chalkboy — the celebrated chalk artist from Japan 🇯🇵 — was an amazing learning experience. His live and spontaneous chalk lettering forces us to take a leap into an environment where mistakes can’t be simply erased out. It leads to the most authentic self of a design, one that can’t be second-guessed or reviewed later. Rather, it’s purely created in the moment.

It reminded us on how ana tomy was set out to be an empty vessel waiting to be created by our customers raving with ideas and individuality. It’s like an open space for public imagination. A playground for creativity with no room for limitations — you define it and we’ll make it happen. It’s a co-creation process that involves you in our design process, in a way, orchestrated spontaneity.

About the artist: Chalkboy

If you don’t know the work of Chalkboy, well you should. He’s a Japanese chalk artist who specialises in creating stunning hand lettering and typography. He doesn’t spend all of his time doodling in front of this computer. Instead, you can usually find him creating large-scale typographic murals on cafes and fashion retails walls, crafting gorgeous work for brands like Eslite Taiwan, and serving up regular inspiration on his Instagram
