Hi Poet!

I hope you're all staying safe during this difficult time!

Life as we know it has been flipped on its head, and it's sparked some interesting challenges. One of which is the sudden switch to working from home. We're very fortunate at MailPoet to already be a distributed company, so I thought I'd share some of our top remote working tips to help you along the way:
  • Make a routine and stick to it! It may be tempting to lie in a little longer or work in your pajamas, but trust us, getting up, ready, and started at the same time every day will make you more productive
  • Try and create a dedicated area for your work, and shut it away at "home time". If this isn't possible, make sure you pack all of your work items away at the end of your working day. It's important to maintain that work-life balance and not let work creep into your free time
  • Communication is key! We use Slack for our day-to-day conversations, and try and keep as much as possible in public channels for everyone at MailPoet to see. We also each use MailPoet to send a weekly newsletter to the rest of the team detailing what we've been working on and how it went.

Stay home, stay safe, and stay awesome, folks.
