I’m definitely guilty of reflecting on all the things I want to do “when things get back to normal.” Travel, make plans with friends, try new restaurants... But the truth is, “normal” will look considerably different post-COVID. Pining for a version of our old lives isn’t a healthy outlook to take, therapists say; instead, focus on more specific phrases about what you're realistically looking forward to — “giving my mom a hug,” “working full-time again,” etc. |
