ROBINHOOD LAUNCHES ITS OWN L2 & TOKENIZES PRIVATE EQUITY 🎤

The final announcement put me into an adrenaline-induced shaking fit…

1/ Robinhood’s crypto platform is rolling out across the entire EU and EEA. 

That’s 31 countries in total.

2/ Simplified crypto perpetual futures are coming to Robinhood (EU) 

Translation: EU users can bet on the future price of crypto with up to 3x leverage (tripling their investment size with a loan) on Robinhood.

3/ Advanced charts are coming to mobile (US)

Think: TradingView-style charts, on mobile. Starting with equities, and rolling out to crypto later in the year.

4/ Smart exchange routing (US)

Robinhood will check with multiple partner exchanges to get you the best price on your trades and lower your fee tier as the amount you trade goes up.

5/ Tax lots (US)

This is as BIG as it is NERDY!

Say you make a Bitcoin trade and pull in $1000 worth of profits – you can tell Robinhood:

“My $ETH holdings are actually running at a loss right now… 

So instead of converting my Bitcoin into $1,000 in cash (and logging a taxable gain) sell $1,000 worth of my $ETH. This way, I still collect $1k – but I’m actually making a tax-deductible loss.”

6/ Cortex for crypto (US)

Robinhood’s AI investing assistant will now analyze crypto assets for Robinhood Gold customers, giving them a better idea of why their holdings are going up, down, or sideways.

7/ Get crypto back when using the Robinhood credit card (US)

Instead of getting cash back on your credit purchases, you can get crypto back (inc. Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Arbitrum, Doge, and Ripple).

8/ Crypto staking coming to Robinhood US (already available in the EU)

Starting first with $ETH and $SOL. 👇

9/ Deposit match (US & EU)

Between now and July 7, Robinhood will match 2% of any crypto deposits made in the US or EU (no caps on deposit size.)

10/ Stock tokens, aka: tokenized stocks (EU)

Robinhood will soon start creating tokenized assets that are backed 1:1 with stocks, allowing its EU customers to access US stocks, i.e:

You buy a tokenized stock on Robinhood (e.g. Apple, Nvidia, Amazon) → they buy that stock on TradFi rails and back your ‘stock tokens’ with it.

Trades can be made 24hrs a day, 5 days a week right now, with 24/7 trades and self-custodying of stock tokens coming soon.

11/ Robinhood is launching their own L2

The ‘Robinhood Chain’ will be built on Arbitrum with the aim of becoming: 

“The first blockchain optimized for real world assets – from real estate, to art, to stocks.”

The end goal: bring the ENTIRE Robinhood ecosystem onchain. Chills. Literal chills.

12/ Private stocks, onchain (EU)

HOLY HELL. You can now buy PRIVATELY TRADED stocks onchain, via Robinhood EU. 👇

If you don’t know how big of a deal this is – lemme hit you with some context… 

Before today, if you wanted to buy these private equities, you’d not only need to know the right people, you’d also need to earn $200k per year or have a net worth of $1M or more!

This marks a seismic step-change in financial access and opportunities for wealth generation.

Here’s what’s on the calendar this month…

ISM Manufacturing PMI – July 1st – PMI gauges how much money is being spent by purchasing managers in the US. 

An increased spend from purchasing managers indicates a growing economy (which typically leads to growing asset prices). The number we want to see from PMI is 50 or above.

Consumer Price Index (CPI) – July 15th – last Friday the probability of total forecast rate cuts in 2025 moved from two to three. 👇

CPI data tracks US inflation and helps inform the Federal Reserve on whether or not they’re safe to cut rates (and in what amounts). 

Remember: lower rates typically lead to higher asset prices. 

FOMC meeting – July 30th – if you want forward-looking statements that hint at when we might see rate cuts this year, FOMC meetings are where you’re going to find them.

2/ Token unlocks 🔓

This month we’ve got unlocks from big names like Sui, Aptos, Ethena, Sei, and Arbitrum – but the biggest will be from $TRUMP, which will unlock 25% of its supply on July 17. 📆

3/ New apps and features 📲
