Perhaps it has never occurred to you that YOU could host a Shavathon event. You CAN! Potential hosts include individuals inviting loved ones and friends and hosting the event in their backyard, to schools or educational institutions, or community organisations and workplaces.

But this week is your last chance to do so, as the Shavathon eShop closes on Friday, 21st February 2020.

It’s easy to register as a host. Follow the instructions on how to register your event, while simultaneously placing your order for Shavathon products via our eShop. The web page includes practical tips on how to set up your Shavathon and run the event, so that it will go smoothly.

We really need new hosts to support Shavathon 2020 and give HOPE to our cancer Survivors (patients) – the funds raised will go directly towards services which support our patients during cancer treatment.

By hosting an event you also open up the conversation around cancer, helping to raise important awareness and also providing a platform for Survivors to share their stories and inspire others.

Double Your Impact

Consider asking some of the participants in your Shavathon event to make their #CANSAShavathon participation count DOUBLE by announcing their goal e.g. to shave, spray or donate your ponytail, at your event, and getting their contacts to support their efforts by making an ONLINE DONATION towards their fundraising project.

It's easy to set up - all instructions here: and they will automatically be entered into a competition where they stand to win amazing prizes. They could aim to generate a minimum of R2020 for Shavathon 2020!
