A Lancashire woman has risen through the ranks from healthcare assistant to become the manager of a hi-tech unit at a local hospital.
View email online | | | | | Jul 6, 2021 | | | | | | Good evening Settle back and relax. Eva, the ‘psychic parrot’ who has predicted three straight correct Euro scores reckons England will win tomorrow’s semi-final against Denmark. And she couldn’t be wrong, could she? Animals (fish and birds) making predictions has become a staple of tournament football since Paul the Octopus, God bless him, predicted a series of correct results during the 2010 World Cup in Germany. This shows just how far we will go to believe that the dream might finally come true. But for once, most England fans have had a tension-free trip to the semis. Eight goals scored, none conceded and very few rushes of blood. That’s not to say we haven’t loved every minute ... as have the bars and clubs who have had the hardest of years and are finally able to start believing that they too might be onto something good at last. So wherever you are watching the game tomorrow night, enjoy the ride. And remember Eva is certain we can do it. We’ll be over the moon ... not sick as a parrot.
