New wrinkle in Cantrell recall: There’s yet another twist in the LaToya Cantrell recall saga. A hearing this morning was halted as the two sides negotiated a settlement to a suit organizers filed challenging the city’s voting rolls, Matt Sledge reports. At issue, of course, is how many signatures they actually need to get the issue on the ballot. (Here's a little background.) Big expansion: Economic development officials today announced a 50-acre expansion of NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility. Notable passing: It is largely through the labor of Sister Jennie Jones that St. Mary’s Academy was able to reopen its New Orleans campus after Hurricane Katrina. Jones, whose work was lauded by President Obama in 2012, died on Sunday at age 70, Marie Fazio reports. Pels skid: Don’t look now, but our favorite basketball team has hit the skids. The Pels lost another one last night – their fourth straight. A season that began with such promise is threatening to come off the rails.
