This Space Heater Compliments Any Space

Space heaters are definitely popular out here in Chicago, with it being constantly cold outside that comes as no surprise. It would appear as though quite a lot of people are conscious of having one in their living space that doesn’t fit the aesthetic of the room and for that reason alone will have their guests suffer. Thankfully Jang Junyoung is to the rescue with his Cube Heater.

Embodying the minimal South Korean aesthetic, Cube Heater has a rather simple and clean design aesthetic with some carefully chosen CMF decisions that accent this gorgeous product. From the dimple where the power enters the product to the polycarbonate plinth the space heater sits on – the Cube Heater is a welcome addition to any living space.

The Cube Heater needed an effective visual indicator because of course, the light from the hot wire cannot physically pass to the outside of the device. Jang used a single LED but thought about how we could verify the operation in different directions and angles. This lead to the elegant yet simple addition of the cloudy plastic base. This is why the Cube Heater is wonderfully simple, the upper cube is a structure that can generate heat, and the lower cue is a simple structure without any device – South Korean design at its finest.

Need a Beer? Ring the Bell

It’s that time of year when trying to buy the gift for the person that has everything becomes an impossible task. Well let me ask you this; Do they like beer? Do they act like a prince? Do they want a bottle opener mixed with a bell for Christmas? Who doesn’t?

Studio Dejawu has designed a gorgeous bottle opener for Normann Copenhagen, and although it may be seemingly novel, the Bell Opener is a groovy addition to anyone’s countertop. Available in a variety of high-quality finishes, the Bell Opener is a crossover of Scandinavian design language and absurd cross-functionality.

I can already imagine someone looking for the bottle opener at a party and hearing it jingle in the next room. I know for a fact that if someone begins to fall asleep at any of the parties around Christmas, this will be sure to wake them right back up.

4-Wheel Drive or 4-Fin Drive?

In an effort to conquer land, sea, and air, Peugeot has developed Sea Drive, the first ever SUV/water boat integrated concept. In conjunction with well-renowned ship manufacturer Beneteau, Peugeot has brought a new dimension to the future concepts of water transportation. It’s evident here that these French car manufacturers wish to hold on to the gorgeous interior layout seen across multiple SUV models in their current range.

The long blade-like fins that find themselves darting away from the main body add an edgy complement to the already sport-like interior. When admiring this aquatic athlete, be sure not to neglect the elegant wooden deck across the nose of the boat which wraps around the driver’s side and fills the rear panel. It may not be the perfect boat to crack open a bottle of wine and indulge in some exquisite French cheese. However, it’s certainly the right boat to do absolutely everything else.

Summery Seating That’ll Warm You Up

This beachy chic outdoor seating by Muka Design Lab is giving us poolside vibes in the middle of December! It’s called Murcia and it’s a modern take on woven outdoor seating. It’s made of color-contrasting, all-weather cord woven around a lightweight lacquered aluminum frame, delivering a combination of comfort and elegance anywhere from the pool deck to the backyard patio. The backs and seats are completed with upholstered cushions in a special outdoor fabric. Rust-resistant, weatherproof, and built for ventilation it can live outside, rain or shine.
