Organizations, led by HR departments, should implement comprehensive lie detection training that focuses on understanding verbal and nonverbal cues and ethical truth elicitation practices to improve transparency and reduce fraud, Meyer says.

Studies reveal NDAs silence nearly half of employees

Nearly half of US workers (45%) face employer nondisclosure agreements, potentially preventing them from reporting discrimination, according to studies by Lift Our Voices and Pennsylvania State University. The findings show a higher prevalence among women and underrepresented populations -- underscoring the need for policy reforms -- and notes that litigation offers higher win rates and payouts compared to forced arbitration.
