As one of seven new women’s business centers across the country opened its doors for the first time in Greenville, national and local business leaders gathered on Sept. 4 onsite to celebrate the state’s female entrepreneurs. Small business lender and nonprofit CommunityWorks was also granted an award at the event.

As students return to virtual classrooms, Sports Authority and the YMCA of Greenville step in to help homeless families across the county cover some back-to-school expenses.

Sullivan’s seafood restaurant closing after 32 years

Another restaurant is lost to the pandemic as Sullivan’s in Charleston plans to shutter permanently on Sunday. The owners plan to publish a cookbook of the most requested recipes served at the restaurant, but they said the time was right to walk away.

Three S.C. DNR projects receive historic preservation funds

The S.C. Department of Natural Resources will use federal grants to support three projects eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places that were damaged during Hurricane Irma in September 2017.
