RECORD MEDAL HAUL IN POKLJUKA
With a furiously fought final, and five of six podium places in the last event, the Mass Start, the athletes of the Fischer Race Family finished up the Biathlon World Championships in Pokljuka, Slovenia in impressive style. The glorious weather was matched by the Fischer medal count: 59% of all medals were won on Fischer Speedmax 3D skis, 58% in Fischer Speedmax Skate boots, with 68% on a TURNAMIC® bindings set-up. The total medal count in comparison to the previous year even climbed to 39 of a possible 66 medals. This highlighted once again Fischer’s clear leadership position in Nordic competition.
Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet is the ultimate challenge on a pair of skis. Almost anything can happen in a 220 km race above the Arctic Circle, so the choice of the right equipment is crucial. That’s why we’re beyond excited about the new partnership between Fischer and Red Bull Nordenskiöldsloppet - two leading brands in Nordic skiing. And you can be part of it: All you need to do is to prove that you have what it takes to complete 220 km on skis. In order to make things a bit easier for you, you don’t necessarily need to ski through untouched Arctic wilderness, and instead of the regular 30 hours time limit, you have 30 days from March 5th to April 3rd to accomplish this feat.
