Dear Yogi, As 2024 draws to a close, it might feel like crossing the finish line of a marathon – wrapping up work projects, juggling holiday plans, balancing social events with family commitments... There's a lot to manage in a short amount of time, and what we likely crave most is simply... rest!
Rest isn’t a dirty word. It doesn’t mean we’re lazy or antisocial – it’s as essential as sleep! Our nervous system can’t be in ‘overdrive’ all the time and at this time of year, it's especially important to give our bodies the chance to decompress and restore.
So, how about taking a walk in nature, reading a book, or just having a nap? Even if your holiday schedule is already packed, try to make space for low-key activities that nurture your wellbeing.
