Use the Windows 10 taskbar calendar to check days and dates
By Ed Bott
When you're planning a meeting or event that's weeks or months away, it helps to have a calendar at hand. Opening the calendar associated with your email account, either in an app or in a web browser, is one option. But it's much faster to use the built-in Windows 10 calendar to look up days and dates.
Click the date displayed at the right side of the taskbar to pop up a calendar for the current month, with today's date highlighted. Use the up and down arrows to the right of the month label to move backward and forward one month at a time. To jump quickly to a specific month and year, click the month heading. That displays a list of months for the current year. Use the up and down arrows to change years or click the year heading to jump to a list of all years in the current decade.
To instantly jump back to the current date no matter how far you've traveled in time, click the date link, just above the calendar and below the current time.
