| Art Appreciation Series The Work of William Bouguereau Sunday, July 28, 2:30 - 4 PM William Bouguereau (1825-1905) enjoyed popularity in both France and the United States as the quintessential salon painter of his generation. Luc Travers, CAM Museum Interpreter, teaches Art Appreciation classes nationally and considers William Bouguereau one of his favorite artists and topics to interpret. The lecture will last 1 hour and 15 minutes, and afterward from 4-4:30 PM there will be an optional visit to the Kenan House to view William Bouguereau's masterpiece, "Young Girl Defending Herself Against Eros". |
