Be a straight shooter to get honest and helpful feedback
Get more feedback by asking for the truth and being specific in your request, rather than asking a generic question, Karin Hurt and David Dye write. Show gratitude and respond constructively to build trust between your boss and co-workers giving you responses to your work.
