Did you know it does THIS to senior brains? | | Will Big Pharma profit from this key heart health metric? | Dear Reality Health Check Reader, I want to reacquaint you with what may be the most important heart health metric. It’s even more important than cholesterol or blood pressure—because it can predict your risk of heart disease, our nation’s No. 1 killer. But as usual, mainstream medicine has buried its head in the sand about this critical blood marker. In fact, most conventional docs don’t even monitor it! After all, Big Pharma can’t offer you anything to manage it—so what’s the point? Well, it looks like that’s about to change. (Article continues below.) | Advertisement | [SHOCKING] PILL-FREE Pain Relief in your home | These are SHOCKING results. There a no pills associated with this whatsoever…but in one study, the majority of people who tried this technique for back pain said they felt significant improvement. Have you ever heard of this before? Discover this PILL-FREE technique for pain right here. | | This blood marker paints a clear picture The blood marker I’m talking about is lipoprotein(a)—or Lp(a). And get this… The mainstream is now touting a pill—muvalaplin—to reduce your Lp(a) levels. Plus, other therapies to lower Lp(a) are in clinical trials. So now, of course, the mainstream is shouting from the rooftops about the importance of this heart health metric! Before I get too cynical, Lp(a) is genetically inherited and a well-established independent risk factor for heart disease. It’s made up of two major proteins—apolipoprotein(a) and apolipoprotein B-100—that paint a clear picture of your heart health. In fact, when your Lp(a) levels are 50 and above, you’re at risk for clotting and inflammation. This significantly increases your risk of heart attack, stroke, aortic stenosis, and peripheral artery disease. Not to mention, Lp(a) can build up in the walls of your blood vessels and form plaques, similar to LDL cholesterol. This can block healthy blood flow to vital organs, like the heart and brain. But tell me… If this molecule can do and predict so much, why wasn’t the mainstream more concerned over it from the get-go? Greed, of course. Take back control with two simple steps The mainstream can no longer deny the importance of Lp(a). And in my view, that’s exactly why they’re starting to talk about it… so they can capitalize on it! Will this new drug soon be prescribed as often as statins? And since so many people are unfamiliar with Lp(a), will they just add the drug to their long list of Big Pharma medications? (Remember that this is a brand-new drug—so we don’t yet know about potential side effects or overall effectiveness.) I’ve always stressed the importance of this blood marker—and I’ve always provided a practical way to lower your levels. So, let me be clear: Yes, Lp(a) levels are a vital heart health metric. No, you do not need to take a drug to manage your levels. Allow me to remind you of some advice that I’ve been sharing with you, my loyal reader, for over a decade… The first step in managing these lipids is to focus on your nutrition. You want to follow a diet that’s low in processed, refined carbs—and high in organic produce, lean protein, and healthy fats. The second step deals with smart supplementation. And more specifically, with two key nutrients: Niacin and L-cysteine. I recommend starting with 500 mg of niacin and working up to 3,000 mg per day. (If you can tolerate it, it’s best to opt for regular niacin instead of flush-free varieties, which have reduced niacin content.) As for L-cysteine, I typically recommend 1,000 mg twice per day.
