Labor Dept. reverses rule on independent contractors A rule that lets companies more easily classify gig workers as independent contractors, rather than employees, has been withdrawn by the Labor Department. For those who often turn to stress eating, she recommends trying non-food-related ways to deal with stress, such as exercising, meditating, journaling and asking for professional help, and says consistency and persistence are key to success. Genetically modified mosquitoes unleashed in the US

For the first time in the US, genetically modified male mosquitoes were released in the Florida Keys in hopes of reducing the number of disease-carrying mosquitoes in the area. Once the males mate with females, there isn't any impact on male offspring, but female offspring will die before reaching maturity.
