CBS Sports Fantasy Football Today

Happy Friday! As we cruise into the long weekend, we're identifying the quarterbacks and running backs who are most likely to regress to the mean in 2020. In simple terms, regressing to the mean signifies returning to normalcy, which could mean coming down from record-high performances in 2020 or scoring touchdowns at a more normal rate after a three touchdown season. Is Lamar Jackson the greatest quarterback ever, or will his 9 percent TD rate and 6.9 yards per carry drop this season? Can Aaron Jones continue on his one touchdown per game pace with AJ Dillon and Jamaal Williams sharing the load? And will Alvin Kamara and Miles Sanders post above-average touchdown rates after posting shockingly-low touchdown totals in 2019?

Plus, waiting to draft a quarterback is a well-established strategy, as it allows you to load up on skill position players without using draft capital on the deepest position in Fantasy. Those who abided by this strategy in 2019 reaped the benefits, as late-round picks Lamar Jackson, Dak Prescott and Jameis Winston all finished in the top 5. Of QBs with average draft position outside of the top 10 rounds in 2020, Ben Roethlisberger and Daniel Jones could be league-winners, as Roethlisberger is just a year removed from a top 3 season and Jones was the first rookie to score more than 35 points four times in a season. We're breaking down the 7 late-round QBs who could win you your leagues in 2020.
