Dear friends,
27 years ago, Surfrider was born from the desire of a handful of surfers from Biarritz to stand up on their playground : the Ocean.
I am a surfer myself, but first and foremost I am, like you, passionate about the ocean. And it's because of this passion for the sea and its waves that I joined Surfrider Foundation Europe.
The local movement that I joined has become a major European organisation through its actions and victories. But behind Surfrider there are hundreds of women and men who, like me and you, are taking a stand to protect an ocean that is facing constant threats.
We work in the field, cleaning beaches that have been contaminated with marine litter. We are there every day at national and European political institutions to put pressure on legislators.
Today I am proud to be able to say that Surfrider, our organisation, is recognised for its effectiveness and expertise. We owe this recognition to you, as it's all thanks to your confidence and support.
This year, just like the last 25 years, I will be renewing my support by donating to Surfrider. And because I'm sure you also want to protect the Ocean, I'm asking you to support Surfrider. |
