With everything our students are doing this month to take action, we wish Earth Month was every month!
Why Can't Earth Month Be Every Month!
While we're always excited to celebrate Mother Earth every April, our students know that we need to protect our planet 365 days of the year! Check out the projects they have been working on since the Climate Solutions Campaign kicked off last September and the many ways you can join in the action.
In partnership with the City of Long Beach, the Mary Bragg Green Team and other volunteers planted 50 trees to help green the First District's residential areas on April 10.

Join El Segundo's Trash to Treasure Art Making Workshop + Litter Clean Up
April 17, 10AM - 5:30 PM PT
One person's trash is another's treasure! Join our students and the El Segundo Public Library along with the El Segundo Museum of Art for a jam-packed day of activities for the Book to Action 2021 event.
We'll kick the day off with a socially distanced litter pick up and repurpose the litter during a virtual Trash to Treasure Art Workshop with special sessions for kids and adults.
The students of the Building Healthy Relationships class at Stephens Middle School want Long Beach to know that choosing more plant-based meals is one of the key ingredients to fighting climate change.
That is why they are asking you to submit your favorite vegetarian recipes for a new crowd-sourced cooking website that will celebrate how to eat well and help the climate at the same time.
Help Reforest Wildfire Affected Areas with Manhattan Beach Middle School
Help fight climate change by planting trees during Earth Month! The Manhattan Beach Middle School Grades of Green team is fundraising to reforest areas of California affected by wildfire and drought.
Each dollar donated to the One Tree Planted fundraiser will plant one tree in California. Watch their awesome video to see why trees are so important in protecting our planet and fighting climate change.
Anyone who donates $5 or more and fills out this form could score a gift certificate to Deep Roots Garden Center or International Garden Center.
