The Executive Board (EB) is composed of 34 technically qualified members elected for three-year terms. The Board members agree on the provisional agenda for the World Health Assembly and the resolutions or decisions to be considered by the Assembly. Most of the sessions of the EB are open to the media and will be webcast on this page, unless specified otherwise. More information about the Executive Board. Monday, 24 January A new advocacy brief on climate change from the UN Decade of Healthy Ageing Connection Series will be released on 24 January 2022. It highlights how the health and wellbeing of older people are affected by climate change and identifies key opportunities to bring the healthy ageing and climate change agendas together in the context of the Decade. The brief additionally presents examples of what can be done to foster healthy ageing that can also help adapt to, mitigate, and build resilience for the climate crisis. The UN Decade of Healthy Ageing Connection Series is produced by the Decade Secretariat at WHO and members of the United Nations Inter-Agency Group on Ageing (IAGA). Wednesday, 26 January Celebrating World NTDs Day World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day (WNTDD) will be celebrated on Sunday, 30 January 2022. To mark this celebration, WHO is organizing a virtual event on 26 January, calling on everyone to address the inequalities that characterize NTDs. WNTDD is an opportunity to re-energize the momentum to end the suffering from these 20 diseases that are caused by a variety of pathogens including viruses, bacteria, parasites, fungi and toxins.
