75th World Health Assembly

Health for peace, peace for health

22-28 May 2022 at the UN Palais, Geneva

The 75th World Health Assembly (WHA75) will kick off with a high-level session on Sunday, 22 May, with speeches from the elected WHA president, Heads of State, special guests, an opening address by the WHO Director-General and presentation of a range of health awards.
WHA75 will be held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva and will be open to Member States, Associate Members, Observers, invited representatives of the UN and other participating inter-governmental organizations and non-State actors.

The appointment of the next WHO Director-General will take place during WHA75.
The Assembly will be webcast live from the WHO website. The provisional agenda and Assembly documents can be accessed here.

Media accreditation for WHA75

Journalists who wish to attend the World Health Assembly and who are NOT accredited to the United Nations should request media accreditation from the United Nations Information Service by registering on the INDICO registration platform.

Updates on the Health Assembly will be posted on the WHO website and relevant materials will be sent to the global media list. Register for updates.

3rd edition of Walk the Talk in Geneva

WHO will organize the 3rd edition in Geneva of the “Walk the Talk: Health For All Challenge” on Sunday, 22 May. This in-person event will invite participants to run or walk over two routes: 3 km and 4.2 km. People of all ages and abilities will start at Place des Nations from 8.30 CEST.

People around the world are invited to take part in the event by tracking their performances through a dedicated app. By registering, participants will receive a login to take part-in anywhere in the world. Click here to register.
