Dear friend and supporter, Over 10,000 Israelis have now been evacuated as wildfires continue to spread through communities near Jerusalem. Our volunteers at Feed Israel are doing everything we can to support them — delivering food, clean water, hygiene items, and comfort to people who had to run for their lives. But there’s something even more painful behind this tragedy: this isn’t just a natural disaster. It’s a form of terror. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed that 18 individuals have been arrested on suspicion of arson, one allegedly caught in the act of setting a fire. These are not isolated incidents. They are coordinated attacks designed to burn, destroy, and instill fear. Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, along with Police Chief Danny Levy, has deployed 14,000 police officers across the country to stop these arson attempts. This is a national emergency — and a new kind of war against our people. “This is perhaps the largest fire ever in the country,” said Jerusalem’s district fire commander earlier today. Yet even in the smoke and chaos, we see the resilience of our people — and the compassion of our supporters. Feed Israel is standing with the evacuees, hand-in-hand, meal by meal. But we urgently need your help to keep going. |
