Transition team: Governor-elect Jeff Landry has created 14 committees ahead of his Jan. 8 inauguration to offer strategies on how to to tackle coastal restoration, crime, insurance, education and other problems after he takes office. One is focused entirely on New Orleans. James Finn has the details, including the names of the leaders chosen to head up the committees. The end of litter? There are, on average, 10,178 pieces of litter along every mile of interstate in Louisiana. Gov. John Bel Edwards has tapped LSU to find a way to put an end to the problem.
