Some of the perks companies are giving employees for working at home during the novel coronavirus pandemic are for fun, such as entertainment options for children, but others offer personal help such as psychotherapy sessions or online fitness classes. Many employers are focusing on employee mental health benefits, and Salesforce is offering meditation classes.
Consumer confidence reached the lowest level in nearly three years in March as Americans worried about the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on the economy. The Conference Board's index fell to 120, the lowest reading since July 2017.
Online presentations and virtual meetings need to improve with the increase in remote work, which means a faster pace, narrating over the slides to add context and help guide viewers, and being ready to handle technical problems. "Use larger fonts and plenty of white space, and don't put things near the edges of your slides," says consultant Ken Molay.
