Markets Are Getting Pulled in Multiple Directions, But Good Trades Still Exist With a barrage of headlines tugging at the market, it is definitely having a bit of an identity crisis. While recently it looks like it wants to be bullish, we are still in a long-term downtrend. Will the Feds adjustments to the interest rate dial have the desired effect? Will the tightening grip of inflation start to choke off spending? Will the challenges to consumers start to show up in earnings? Or will all of that address the uneasiness of the market and allow it to get back on an upward path? The truth is that uncertainty is creating a very specific market climate with unique characteristics that favor a certain type of options strategy. Up, Down, Or Even Sideways—There Are Still Winning Trades In the Market As the market continues its bouncy path it is keeping volatility in a historically higher range. The Wall Street options traders have put together ways to exploit this and although they would like you to think it is out of your reach, it really isn’t. They know as well as anyone that that is always risk of losing your investment when trading options, but they come to work every day to minimize that risk. They can’t eliminate it, but they can find trades and strategies that put the risk reward ratio as much in their favor as possible. By getting more information on these types of strategies you can be prepared as this market continues to be unruly and churn on indefinitely. Chuck Hughes sent out information on some of these strategies earlier today. If you missed it you can still access it here. * Trading incurs risk and some people lose money trading. ![]() © 2022 Tradewins Publishing.
