Won’t you repent of your sins and surrender to Christ, and be saved from the wrath to come?

When people in the West think of Santa Claus, some things that might come to mind are snow, reindeer, Christmas gifts, the North Pole and a portly man wearing a red and white suit. Very few people, if any at all, are likely to think about a pristine beach, grazing sheep and a man who saved young girls from sexual slavery.

Events that occurred this week in Christian history include the first publishing of the Auburn Affirmation, the death of a notable hymnwriter in a major train accident, and Mars Hill’s final service.

More than 600 Christian tribals remained displaced on Christmas Day in India’s Chhattisgarh state, a week after radical Hindu nationalists launched a spate of attacks on them in 20 villages, vandalizing their homes, churches and properties for refusing to "re-convert" to Hinduism.

Please pray that our heartfelt petitions for these faithful Nigerian sisters and brothers will provide them with the miraculous shield of God’s powerful hand.

Three-quarters of Americans agree that most people have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas, a concern expressed by more Christians than non-religious individuals, according to a recent survey.

A British church has garnered controversy over using a revised set of lyrics to the classic Christmas carol "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" that celebrated queer identity and omitted reference to Satan or Christ being the savior.

A group of churches in Jamaica has, for a second time this year, spoken out against the rising crime and murders in the country after a pastor was shot and killed in front of his family near his home this week. The Caribbean nation has recorded more than 1,400 killings this year thus far.

A tomb in Israel that reportedly was the burial place of a woman considered to be the midwife of the infant Jesus, according to early church apocryphal sources, will soon be open to the public.
