Affordable housing development opens in Belmont, Calif. A mixed-use housing development in Belmont, Calif., opens this month with 66 affordable housing units, 3,750 square feet of commercial space and amenities including a day care area, playground and green spaces. The property was acquired in 2018 through a partnership between MidPen Housing, a nonprofit affordable housing provider, and the Sares Regis real estate group, and was supported by the city's plan to revitalize the downtown area.
