TUNE IN TONIGHT | | Check, Please! Bay Area is Back | |
|
| Dear Viewers, We know that restaurants, their workers and their fans are under tremendous stress right now. While we don’t know what the future holds, we know that the only way forward is caring for one another. We will continue celebrating our local food scene and our passionate viewers by bringing new episodes to you starting tonight at 7:30pm on KQED 9. In our 15th season premiere, we welcome the stars from San Francisco’s recent production of Hamilton. They reveal their favorite eateries in the Bay Area, including Mourad, Niku Steakhouse and Causwells. You can also join our virtual watch party to stream the premiere (includes a Q&A with Leslie Sbrocco afterwards). For more information on the watch party and to RSVP, click here. If you miss the premiere, you’ll be able to stream it and find previous episodes here. Here is a quick update on the restaurants featured in the premiere episode since California’s shelter-in-place order was enforced: Mourad: Closed until further notice, but sister restaurant, Aziza, is open for takeout and delivery. Niku Steakhouse: The restaurant is temporarily closed, but Niku Steakhouse’s The Butcher Shop is still open with their normal business hours (Tuesday-Sunday, 10am-7pm) Causwells: Open for takeout and delivery. You can also purchase gift certificates online. You can still rally to support the local restaurants you love by buying merchandise and gift cards or ordering takeout and delivery. Discover more Bay Area restaurants (featured this season) that are still open for delivery and takeout here. As Leslie says: “Stay safe, stay calm and sip on.” |
